Samenvatting:This article examines the fundamental role of forensic psychology in the investigation and punishment of gender violence in the Mexican context, addressing in detail the challenges and opportunities that arise in this area, to focus on key areas such as specialized training, the development of protocols and the implementation of specific methodologies; highlighting the importance of psychological evaluation as a fundamental tool to understand and adequately address cases of gender violence, emphasizing the need to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between psychology and law at the institutional level. For this purpose, a compilation of doctrinal and legal texts has been made, which will be processed using the Analytical Doctrine, with the purpose of identifying and describing these challenges and opportunities that forensic psychology experiences in Mexico, with regard to its participation in resolving cases of gender violence against women.
