| Résumé: | Reading is an essential activity for scientific training, however, the development of reading skills may be unimportant for university students who are not get used to analyzing texts in a critical manner, in addition to making little use of bibliographic sources. This study measured the attitude towards science, experience and reading habits in printed and electronic texts of upper level students. The results indicate that students have a positive attitude towards science (63.35%). 36% of respondents consider that they have read more at the higher level than in previous stages; the abandonment of reading is explained by the lack of time (48.7%). 64.8% see themselves as good readers. 55% admit having to read a text twice to understand its content. 47.4% attend the library only when they need a book. 27% read a book per year. They do not read newspapers or magazines. 77% have internet at home, 91% have a personal computer (91%) and 99% have a smartphone. Data reflect the attitude toward science, reading practices are listed. Research is proposed to improve reading skills and the writing of scientific texts. |
