| Zusammenfassung: | What happened on March 31, 2020, when the Government of Mexico decreed in the Official Gazette of the Federation, the mandatory closure of Higher Education Institutions (IES) and schools across the country, moving all educational work in-house (DOF, 2020). Much has been commented and addressed about the transformations brought about by the transition from face-to-face education to virtual education. The objective of this research project is to analyze the effects in the family and personal context caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on the school activities of female students in the State of Tamaulipas.
The research design is mixed (Tashakkori and Creswell, 2007), qualitative and quantitative, which allows us to have a more complete vision of the phenomenon to be studied. For the qualitative part, in-depth interviews were applied to the students, and for the quantitative part, a questionnaire was applied to the students. The results have shown the physical conditions and access to technology that the students faced to access online education established by the IES to continue with classes during confinement, but that in the end they prefer face-to-face classes. |
