A brief analysis is made of the main economic periods, as well as demographic data of the city of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. In order to give greater support to the work, the main theories of internationalization that were the source of inspiration for shaping a model of internationalization of all aspects of the city are also established. In turn, the challenges, problems and situations faced by Nuevo Laredo for its development and growth are determined, as well as the globalization strategy to be implemented to achieve the objective goal. La presente obra plasma de manera sencilla e interesante la dinámica de la internacionalización de las economías regionales.  Se hace un breve análisis de los principales periodos económicos, así como datos demográficos de la ciudad de Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. Para dar mayor soporte a la obra, se establecen también las principales teorías de internacionalización que fueron fuente de inspiración para plasmar un modelo de internacionalización de todos los aspectos de la ciudad. A su vez, se determinan los retos, problemática y situaciones que enfrenta Nuevo Laredo para su desarrollo y crecimiento, así como la estrategia globalizadora a implementar para lograr el mecionado objetivo.
