In this exciting area of ??study, the so-called Functional Analysis of Verbal Conduct is achieving truly spectacular achievements with research topics such as equivalence relationships, Say-Do-Say correspondence or the phenomenon known as (In) sensitivity to contingencies direct In this volume, some of the main aspects of (in) sensitivity to contingencies are exposed: beginning with a brief review of the literature on the subject, an introduction to the concept of rule and behavior governed by rules as prerequisites for understanding the question, and a brief presentation of the Theory of Relational Frames, one of the theories that have best addressed the study of (in) sessibilty, go on to expose the main characteristics of the topic, as well as the methodology with which He has addressed it, to end up suggesting some of the practical applications that the study of (in) sensitivity to contingencies can provide in areas supposedly so far removed from the field of language, such as personality, motivation or self-control. In short, it is a simple and short text with which the authors try to introduce both the advanced psychologist and the student who begins his academic career, in the knowledge of one of the most current topics of research in psychology. En la actualidad, la psicología del lenguaje está cobrando cada vez mayor importancia, tanto a nivel teórico, como principalmente a nivel práctico o aplicado. En esta apasionante área de estudio, el llamado Análisis Funcional de la Conducta Verbal está consiguiendo logros realmente espectaculares con tópicos de investigación tales como las relaciones de equivalencia, la correspondencia Decir-hacer-Decir o el fenómeno conocido como (In)sensibilidad a las contingencias directas. En el presente volumen, se exponen algunos de los aspectos principales de la (in)sensibilidad a las contigencias: comenzando con una somera revisión de la literatura sobre el tema, una introducción al concepto de regla y de conducta gobernada por reglas como prerrequisitos para comprender la cuesti´on, y una breve presentación de la Teoría de los Marcos Relacionales, una de las teorías que mejor han abordado el estudio de la (in)sesibilidad, pasan a exponer las características principales del tópico, así como la metodología con que se le ha abordado, para terminar sugiriendo algunas de las aplicaciones prácticas que el estudio de la (in)sensibilidad a las contingencias puede proporcionar en áreas supuestamente tan alejadas del campo del lenguaje, como pueden ser la personalidad, la motivación o el autocontrol.
