| Tóm tắt: | Through the demands raised during the student movements in Mexico it is possible to analyze the debate around the concept that education has had at different times of the 20th Century. Under the perspective of social reproduction (Bourdieu, 1977), which is largely constructed in the educational field, we can observe in an analytical way the polarization in the positions among those who consider education as necessary for social mobility and consequently a citizen right that must be guaranteed by the State and, those that, generally from a privileged situation, fight for the reduction of subsidies and compensatory measures that seek to generate conditions that contribute to the reduction of inequalities. To analyze in a diachronic manner the positions regarding the nature of public education, this article analyzes three student movements, separated by little more than three decades, having as main actors students of the National Autonomous University of Mexico: the movement of 1968, Consejo Estudiantil Universitario (1986-1994) and Consejo General de Huelga (1999-2000). |
