Castellanos-Yángulova , Biella Lezcano-Morales, Manuel Violencia Género Peritaje Psicologico Violence Gender Psychological Expertise This article examines the fundamental role of forensic psychology in the investigation and punishment of gender violence in the Mexican context, addressing in detail the challenges and opportunities that arise in this area, to focus on key areas such as specialized training, the development of protocols and the implementation of specific methodologies; highlighting the importance of psychological evaluation as a fundamental tool to understand and adequately address cases of gender violence, emphasizing the need to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between psychology and law at the institutional level. For this purpose, a compilation of doctrinal and legal texts has been made, which will be processed using the Analytical Doctrine, with the purpose of identifying and describing these challenges and opportunities that forensic psychology experiences in Mexico, with regard to its participation in resolving cases of gender violence against women. Este artículo examina el papel fundamental de la psicología forense en la investigación y sanción de la violencia de género en el contexto mexicano, abordando de manera detallada los retos y oportunidades que se presentan en este ámbito, para centrarse en áreas clave como la formación especializada, el desarrollo de protocolos y la implementación de metodologías específicas; destacando la importancia de la evaluación psicológica como herramienta fundamental para comprender y abordar adecuadamente los casos de violencia de género haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de fomentar la colaboración interdisciplinaria entre la psicología y el derecho en el ámbito institucional. Para ello se ha realizado una recopilación de textos doctrinales y jurídicos, los cuales serán procesados empleando la Doctrina Analítica, con la finalidad de identificar y describir cuáles son estos retos y oportunidades que experimenta la psicología forense en México, en lo que respecta en su participación en la resolución de casos de violencia de género en contra de las mujeres.
