Samenvatting:Adolescence is a stage of development characterized by physical, mental and emotional changes. Within these changes there are risk and protective factors that influence the use of drugs at an early age, as well as the rehabilitation process to stop using them. In this sense, the purpose is to analyze family mediation as a protective factor in adolescents with addictions. For this, the methodology used was the documentary review in which journals, search engines or scientific databases were used. In this search it was evidenced that the authors agree that the family is of great influence for both and that the use of drugs by a family member impacts their entire system. The main findings show that mediation is a peaceful form of conflict resolution, which has benefits for people in different areas, mainly in the way of communicating and interacting with others. Also, it favors the protective factors that contribute to the rehabilitation of adolescents with addictions, which are: expression of emotions, parental responsibility, self-esteem and the management of creative solutions.
