Family violence is a public health problem that must be addressed due to its consequences for mental health and the damage generated to society. The objective of this study is to elaborate, through French prospective instruments, the scenarios of family violence in the municipality of Victoria for the year 2040, among the main findings it was found that cultural factors as well as the strengthening of the capacities of law enforcement and care institutions are strategic factors for the reduction of family violence and therefore they must be considered in the design and implementation of public policies on care and prevention of family violence. La violencia familiar es el principal delito cometido en el Estado de Tamaulipas y tiene una tasa de denuncias por encima de la media nacional desde el año 2016, el Municipio de Victoria ocupó el primer lugar en denuncias por cada 100 mil habitantes con respecto a los 43 municipios de Tamaulipas para este mismo periodo. La violencia familiar es un problema de salud pública que debe de ser atendido por sus consecuencias para la salud mental y el daño generado a la sociedad, el objetivo de este estudio es elaborar mediante instrumentos de la prospectiva francesa los escenarios de la violencia familiar en el municipio de Victoria para el año 2040, dentro de los principales hallazgos se encontró que los factores culturales así como el fortalecimiento de las capacidades de instituciones de procuración de justicia y atención son factores estratégicos para la disminución de la violencia familiar y por ende deben de ser considerados en el diseño e implementación de políticas públicas en materia de atención y prevención de la violencia familiar.
