That is why this research work aims to discover the perceptions about gender equity and its relationship with the family structure of university students at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas. The methodology is with a quantitative approach, of an exploratory type with a correlational study, the study comprises two academic units and two faculties from the north, center and south of the state. The main expected results would be the correlation that exists between the gender of the students and its relationship with the perception of gender equity, as well as knowing the family structure and its relationship with gender attitudes, inequality in the social processes of university students. and the main lines of action aimed at gender equity according to the characteristics of the study institutions. La igualdad de la equidad de género es un tema de preocupación, y por lo cual las Instituciones de Educación Superior, juegan un papel fundamental en el tema de equidad de género ya que, entre otros aspectos fundamentales de educación, fomentan los valores más fundamentales. Es por lo que este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo descubrir las percepciones en torno a la equidad de género y su relación con la estructura familiar de los estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas. La metodología es con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo exploratorio con un estudio correlacional, el cual comprende dos unidades académicas y dos facultades del norte, centro y sur del estado. Los principales resultados esperados son la correlación que existe entre el género de los estudiantes y su relación con la percepción de equidad de género, así como conocer la estructura familiar y su relación con las actitudes de género, la desigualdad en los procesos sociales de los universitarios y las principales líneas de acción encaminadas a una equidad de género de acuerdo con las características de las instituciones de estudio.
