Summary:Previous studies have pointed out the importance of supply chain management in the competitiveness of SMEs, for this reason the objective of this research is to determine if there is a relationship between supply chain management and the competitiveness of industrial SMEs. in Mexico City. The results of a previous study conducted by Saavedra (2014) are used, in which data was collected through fieldwork to a sample of 400 SMEs. A descriptive and correlational analysis was carried out, only to SMEs in the industrial sector, the main findings show that there is a significant relationship between supply chain management and the competitiveness of SMEs in Mexico City, mainly in what concerns to the factors: capacity of the production process, preventive maintenance, research and development, supply of raw materials and inventory management, corroborating these findings with what was found in the previous literature.
