The type of analysis was descriptive, using a sample of 50 teachers who were given an instrument on transactional leadership, transformational and stop doing. The data obtained was processed through the statistical software SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), where regularity patterns were obtained for all the questionnaire items. The analysis of the corresponding results allowed to determine that the predominant style of leadership in the teachers surveyed is the transformational one. El presente artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación cuyo objetivo fue determinar el estilo de liderazgo predominante en los docentes pertenecientes a dos universidades, una pública y otra privada en el Estado de Puebla. El tipo de análisis fue descriptivo, utilizando una muestra de 50 docentes a quienes se les aplicó un instrumento sobre el liderazgo transaccional, transformacional y dejar de hacer. Los datos obtenidos fueron procesados por medio del software estadístico SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), donde se obtuvieron patrones de regularidad para todas las preguntas del cuestionario. El análisis de los resultados correspondientes permitió determinar que el estilo predominante de liderazgo en los docentes encuestados es el transformacional.
