Sumario:As institutions of higher education these organizations have the privilege of being inserted in the social and cultural development of any country, this forms a circle that can meet the demands of society. The mission of these organisms is related to the training of professionals that are required in developing nations. Hence the importance of the performance of universities in the area of governance, to be active stakeholders in university management. The transformation of state-society relationship has been interfered in the restructuring of institutions in higher education, it is demanded by quality research and the need to care for the new public management to provide a solid foundation of leadership. This content analysis examines how higher education institutions are based on the set of reforms in the governability relationship to governance, and what advantages exist in the new public management
