This research aims to understand the skills and performance of graduates in Accounting Multidisciplinary Academic Unit degree in the Central Zone of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, considered to be one of the most important by teachers, graduates, employers and students of that major. It also seeks to determine how they relate to the skills and performances with the gender of the respondent. The results indicate that the things that are given greater importance are the values , while the corresponding minor social relations in other constructs the respondent’s opinions differ. With regard to gender and other dimensions evaluated were related only to knowledge and social relations and a statistically significant difference between attitudes and interest groups. Esta investigación tiene por objeto conocer las competencias y los desempeños de los egresados de la carrera de contaduría pública en la Unidad Académica Multidisciplinaria Zona Media de la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, considerados más importantes por parte de los profesores, egresados, empleadores y estudiantes de esa carrera. Busca, además, determinar la relación que guardan las competencias y los desempeños con el género del encuestado. Los resultados indican que el constructo al que se le otorga mayor importancia son los valores, en tanto que el de menor importancia corresponde a las relaciones sociales; en los demás constructos las opiniones de los encuestados difieren. Con respecto al género y las demás dimensiones evaluadas, se encontró relación solo con el conocimiento y las relaciones sociales y una diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre las actitudes y los grupos de interés.
