En México se han registrado 46 especies del género Encarsia (familia Aphelinidae) como parasitoides de moscas blancas (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae). Estos afelínidos están asociados con especies de ocho géneros de Aleyrodidae, incluyendo importantes plagas de varios cultivos como la mosca prieta de los cítricos y la mosca blanca de los invernaderos.
