In an era of economic integration based on international commerce and investment, the repercussions of this recession are affecting numerous countries. Mexico would be the Latin American country that would suffer more negative consequences due to the close relationship between these two countries. This research paper aims to identify the negative impact that this recession would have in the future of Mexico. La economía mundial se encuentra en una situación difícil. El avance de la crisis en Estados Unidos (EE. UU.) ha propiciado que se caiga en una grave desaceleración mundial. Pero sus impactos a raíz de la creciente integración de la economía mundial a través del comercio, la inversión y las comunicaciones están conmocionando rápida y sorpresivamente a numerosos países. México sería el país de América Latina que más consecuencias negativas sufriría, por la cercanía y las conexiones que existen entre ambos países, y el más vulnerable en toda la región si se produce una recesión en Estados Unidos. Esta investigación trata de contribuir proporcionando el conocimiento del proceso recesivo y del impacto negativo que pudiese tener en el futuro en nuestro país.
