The sample consisted of students from sixth to ninth level of the Bachelor of Administration and Engineering in Business Management, the variables of transformational leadership: Idealized influence or Charisma, Inspirational motivation, Intellectual stimulation and Individual and transactional consideration: Contingent reward and Address by active exception. The results obtained from the perception of the students of the leadership of their teachers is 86% transformational and 76% transactional. The moderating variables considered: nature of the subject taught by the teacher and its gender; level of studies, career and cumulative average of the students. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, to determine if there are significant differences with leadership, found that the type of subject and the gender of the teacher are significant. El objetivo del estudio es identificar el estilo de liderazgo de los docentes, a través de la percepción de estudiantes en la contingencia del COVID-19 de una Institución de Educación Superior, el enfoque de la investigación es cuantitativa, la metodología es descriptiva-comparativa, se utilizó el cuestionario MLQ 5X Bass y Avolio (1999) de liderazgo transformacional y transaccional, el cual fue adaptado para la presente investigación con su validación correspondiente, obteniéndose un alfa de Cronbach de 0.798.            La muestra estuvo integrada por estudiantes de sexto al noveno nivel de las carreras de Licenciatura en Administración e Ingeniería en Gestión Empresarial, las variables del liderazgo transformacional: Influencia idealizada o Carisma, Motivación inspiracional, Estimulación intelectual y Consideración individual y del transaccional: Recompensa contingente y Dirección por excepción activa. Los resultados obtenidos de la percepción de los estudiantes del liderazgo de sus profesores es el 86% transformacional y el 76% transaccional. Las variables moderadoras consideradas: naturaleza de la materia que imparte el profesor y su género; nivel de estudios, carrera y promedio acumulado de los estudiantes. La prueba de análisis de varianza (ANOVA), para determinar si existen diferencias significativas con el liderazgo, se encontró que el tipo de materia y el género del profesor son significativas.
