description Mexico has twelve trade agreements signed with the rest of the world, however, exports made by Mexican companies are relatively few compared to the 75% made by foreign direct investment. Globalization has brought with it high competition and greater dependence on the outside, especially the US. Exports are the engine of economic development, equivalent to 39% of GDP. The fundamentals of international trade underpin the theoretical framework, Adam Smith s. XVIII and currently various authors such as Gereffi among others. This article urges higher education institutions to consider in the training of their students, the competencies related to the personality characteristics associated with international entrepreneurship. The objective of this study is to identify and measure the personality characteristics of the international entrepreneurship of the first semester students of the global business and trade degree, to later compare them with the results of the profile of a successful Mexican exporter entrepreneur and thus identify the areas of opportunity and care, of this generation, throughout their tenure at ITESO. The study found that this generation has high drive, high influence, low consistency and low compliance. The personality theory that supports this proposal is the Adlelerian theory, it considers the human being as a person in permanent search of goals and improvement, susceptible to change. Regarding the methodological design, it is considered descriptive research when it accounts for a certain fact or phenomenon, with a defined universe.

The personality theory that supports this proposal is the Adlelerian theory, it considers the human being as a person in permanent search of goals and improvement, susceptible to change. Regarding the methodological design, it is considered descriptive research when it accounts for a certain fact or phenomenon, with a defined universe.
