El texto que nos ocupa lleva por nombre “Educación comparada: Tendencias teóricas y empíricas internacionales y nacionales”, un nombre muy ilustrativo del propio documento y un aporte significativo a la discusión de este campo académico, la educación comparada, que nunca como ahora, en medio de la migración generalizada a sistemas de educación a distancia producto de la pandemia de Covid-19 y que según la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO) ha dejado sin el derecho humano de la educación a una tercera parte de las niñas y los niños del mundo y que en México según la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) podría significar el abandono escolar de 628 mil niños y niñas de la educación básica.
