The objective of the study was to analyze the advisory and support strategy promoted by the Servicio de Asesoría y Acompañamiento a las Escuelas de Educación Básica team of school zone 164, at the Justo Sierra elementary school, in the municipality of Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico; to point out the impact it had on the transformation of the practices of the teaching community. A qualitative case study was used, through the process of methodical observation, for which 10 teachers participated. The results obtained allow us to conclude that continuous training and teacher professionalization, both autonomous and interactive, continues to be a priority of the Mexican educational system and that the work of school supervisions is essential to address it. Con la consolidación de un nuevo régimen de gobierno mexicano, se despliega una estrategia orientada a mejorar la calidad educativa, en la que las y los agentes que integran las supervisiones escolares se convierten en los responsables de ofrecer un servicio de asesoría y acompañamiento a las escuelas de educación básica, priorizando aquellas que, por distintos aspectos de organización o resultados académicos, se denominan de atención prioritaria. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar la estrategia de asesoría y acompañamiento impulsada por el equipo del Servicio de Asesoría y Acompañamiento a las Escuelas de Educación Básica de la zona escolar 164, en la escuela primaria Justo Sierra, del municipio de Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, México; para señalar el impacto que tuvo la misma en la transformación de las prácticas del colectivo docente. Se utilizó el estudio de caso de naturaleza cualitativa, a través del proceso de observación metódica, para ello, participaron 10 docentes. Los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que la formación continua y la profesionalización docente, tanto autónoma como interactiva, sigue siendo una prioridad del sistema educativo mexicano y que la labor de las supervisiones escolares es fundamental para atenderla.
