Since sources of information are in use the testimonies of some women compiled by academicians and local writers, testimonies that are checked across a procedure based on the analysis of the historical and cultural experiences of the women who lived through the movement armed in the region. En este trabajo se presentan algunos resultados que exploran y analizan cómo durante la Revolución Mexicana, algunas mujeres de Tamaulipas vivieron formas de dominación masculina, al mismo tiempo que cuestionaron y redefinieron los significados de ser hombre. Como fuentes de información se utilizan los testimonios de algunas mujeres recopilados por académicos y escritores locales, testimonios que son revisados a través de un procedimiento basado en el análisis de las experiencias históricas y culturales de las mujeres que vivieron el movimiento armado en la región.
