Description
Summary:The aim of this work was to present the experience in designing and implementing the case study method as a didactic strategy for female students in the Licenciatura en Atención al Desarrollo y Bienestar to learn about diagnostic content for professional intervention in childhood care situations. The design of the case study strategy was developed considering the situated teaching approach, which is based on contributions from cultural psychology of learning. The results demonstrate that the students were able to apply the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to analyze, reflect upon, and propose improvements in reviewing a case of diagnosis in early childhood education involving various situations, factors, and practices of those involved. The teacher's reflections during the development of the case study are presented, and the conclusions highlight the main contributions for improving the teaching and learning of the content addressed.
