The period, that goes from 1921 to 1936, begins with the foundation of the SEP and its first actions in the entity and the first agreements between the federation and the state government. In a second part, from 1936 to 1943, the scope of the Agreement for the Coordination and Unification of Educational Services of 1936 and the Agreement for the federalization of education of 1943 are analyzed. Este estudio analiza la labor de la Secretaría de Educación Pública en el estado de Tamaulipas, desde su fundación en 1921 que inició la reforma administrativa de federalización educativa hasta 1973. El periodo, que va de 1921 a 1936, comienza con la fundación de la SEP y sus primeras acciones en la entidad y los primeros acuerdos entre la federación y el gobierno del estado. En una segunda parte, de 1936 a 1943, se analizan los alcances del Convenio de Coordinación y Unificación de los Servicios Educativos de 1936 y del Convenio de federalización de la enseñanza de 1943.
