La presente investigación se realizó para determinar si había diferencias fisiológicas entre mujeres universitarias con mayores y menores niveles de agresión, enojo y hostilidad en una tarea sin hostigamiento.  Se tomaron medidas del ritmo cardiaco, de la conductividad de la piel (SCL), y de la arritmia respiratoria sinusoidal (RSA) durante una tarea que provocaba miedo anticipatorio.  Para medir la agresión y sus tres componentes se utilizó la Escala de Agresión de Buss y Perry (1992).  Los resultados muestran que hubo una diferencia significativa en la RSA (F(7,58)=2.225, p=0.45, ?2= .212), y sugieren que las mujeres con mayor hostilidad tienen bajos niveles de actividad parasimpática aún antes de periodos de estrés   Los resultados son importantes porque indican que las diferencias fisiológicas entre mujeres con mayor y menor hostilidad pueden surgir aún en tareas con baja provocación.
