La tradición poco democrática que imperó en el sistema político mexicano por décadas, hizo de la Constitución un texto más religioso que jurídico. La nueva realidad de pluralismo político y alternancia han corregido esa visión. Ahora, a pesar de sus más de 500 reformas desde su promulgación, sigue siendo la misma porque conserva intactos los principios fundamentales que le dieron origen, aunque existe una reforma pendiente que le de actualidad.
