| Izvleček: | This paper evaluates the effectiveness of an educational intervention in schoolchildren 8-13 years of age of four primary-level public schools in preventing HIV / STI, held in Tampico, Tamaulipas, from 2005 to 2009. It was carried out a study quasi-experimental, forming two groups: an intervention and a control, were monitored to students of the 4th. degree and continued research at the 5th. and 6th. grade. Educational participation was made by the same pre-school teachers trained. Educationalmaterials were developed for them previously validated. Results were measured during the three years of intervention.
