El trabajo aborda la temática de la responsabilidad social en la Educación Superior Técnica Profesional ofrecida por los Institutos Profesionales y los Centros de Formación Técnica en Chile, desde la perspectiva de la responsabilidad social empresarial y la responsabilidad social universitaria. Luego, se revisa de manera somera la génesis de estos centros e institutos en Chile, intentando repasar su evolución y su sentido institucional en el presente.
