Summary:This article is part of a broader follow-up study of outcomers from the sociology program at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, and takes intoconsideration the opinion that graduates have about the career they chose; this is important because it contributes to the dissemination of the educationalprogram and helps to identify its strengths and weaknesses. Such analysis is carried out under the constructivist theory, as a framework for the socialconstruction of student centered knowledge. The study is quantitative, the questionnaire contains 21 items and was answered by 59 graduates registeredin the Millennium III versión of the program. The results show a positive opinion about the career, it helped to build the professional path, they can usethe knowledge acquired in their daily life, and 73% of the graduates are currently working and they would go back to the program if they had the opportunity.
