For this purpose, it describes the coverage indicators, the characteristics of both education systems, the investment of economic resources, the perception of educational quality, among others; some reflections are made upon them, the differences between the two educational sytems both in the field of educational policies implemented, as well as the transcendence, efficiency and effectiveness of these and their reflection in national indicators. This comparative analysis is further particularized, when considering a Korean university and a Mexican university focusing on the postgraduate course and its impact on the environment and productive life. En este trabajo se hace un ejercicio comparativo sobre el impacto que puede tener la educación superior en el desarrollo socioeconómico de dos países de diferentes continentes, México y Corea del Sur, se busca enfatizar el papel de la formación y calificación de los recursos humanos como aspectos esenciales para el crecimiento económico y el desarrollo social de un país. Para ello, se describen los indicadores de cobertura, las características de ambos sistemas educativos, la inversión de recursos económicos, la percepción de la calidad educativa, entre otros, así como también se hacen reflexiones sobre los mismos, de las diferencias existentes entre ambos sistemas educativos tanto en el ámbito de políticas educativas implementadas, así como de la trascendencia, eficiencia y eficacia de estas y su reflejo en los indicadores nacionales. Este análisis comparativo se particulariza aún más, al considerar una universidad coreana y una universidad mexicana enfocándose en el posgrado y el impacto de éste en el entorno y la vida productiva.
