Description
Summary:The need to study remotely because of the health contingency caused by the Covid-19, places the development of socio-emotional skills as themain topic of interest, among the figures merging to educational system. Consequently, it is important to carry out a critical hermeneutical review of the official interpretation given to socio-emotional education from two spheres: the curricular and pedagogical intervention; to indicate if the proposal offered by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) is relevant or by the contrary, policy makers should make some adjustments in this regard. The results obtainedfrom the exposed reasoning indicate that it is necessary to adjust the curricular formulation, in relation to the elimination of hetero geneousconceptions in the pedagogical intervention and the inclusion of a gender perspective, as well as the strengthening of the assessment function; so, teachers must be trained in this regard. For this reason, it is concluded that decision makers should promote educational policies that really grant a leading role that socio-emotional education requires within the teaching-learning process.
